I was almost 9 years old but I remember that day like it was yesterday. The awful thing about it the protesters were RIGHT and were taken out for no good reason. Horrible, simply horrible.I understand you very well. I was 12 and in high school in Australia. My generation all looked up to America, the gentle giant who had helped rid my dad's Europe of the right-wing Fascist menace together with the partisans ....we all loved the USA...I STILL do actually, BUT that tragedy viewed by my generation on channel 7 in Australia changed me shockingly FOREVER. Whenever a country turns its guns and kills its own citizens (be it USA, China, Russia, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Iran, etc.), it's HIGH time to change...it means democracy has GONE forever:):)!!!!
The tune "Monster" by Steppenwolf comes into my mind now....John Kay and his band were RIGHT after all!!!:)
