I'm in the Midlands, thanks.

To spare the other members of a boring thread shall we take this to email?

richard@suaveharv.com

And if you're browsing Wolfie, how do you find the cheapest European flights when you're chasing legend's shows?

No need all the information is here.
From East Midlands www.bmibaby.com Not cheap!
From Birmingham www.klm.com Very expensive!
From Manchester KLM and BA but as above!

If you don't mind the drive to Liverpool ( we have to, 2 hours) Easyjet cannot be beaten. You also have cheap options from London Airports but Liverpool still cannot be beaten. 2 nights B and B in nice hotel ,central Amsterdam, flights, taxes, baggage charges, etc etc! £125
www.easyholidays.com

See you there my friend!

Hey Chuck!
I saw you a few years back at the Paramount in Austin, Texas. You were awesome...greater than I even imagined! You totally made my rock n' roll fantasy come true when I was fortunate enough to catch you in the alley as you were getting ready to roll off in your white Lincoln and you gave me your autograph. Please come back to Austin and rock this town again.
This time, I'll scrape together enough money to sit in the front row (it was hard to see you before because you had the audience on their feet for most of the show.

Great to read about the show, mash7eng. Hope you will see Chuck back again. I'm happy for the European Tour in November and the legends shows together with Jerry Lee Lewis. It will come to be party time for many people over here.

Let It Rock!

Johan

Has there been any information regarding Chuck's performance dates at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis in early 2009?

Not as of yet. The BlueBerry Hill shows usually are determined a couple of months in advance and then posted on the BlueBerryHill.com site followed soon after here on ChuckBerry.com. Best bet, check here or on the BBH website.

Austin without question is a top notch music mecca. The Paramount has a great room and has really good sound. That show had Gary Clark opening for my father. That kid and his band are REALLY, REALLY GOOD! Another band from Austin (The Greyhounds) opened for us around that same time here in St. Louis and they too ROCKED! We even had the honor of having Pinetop Perkins come backstage and visit with us. I vividly remember the crowd going nuts from the moment my dad took the stage. That was a great time.

As I always say, an artist comes and plays because fans put the bug in a promoters ear by petition or radio station requests. Your job, if you wish to take it is to get the word my father is needed in Austin to provide his Rock N Roll medicine to his fans.

how about scotland chuck - it's been too long - i was there the night you almost appeared in glasgow.

Saw Chuck in the Apollo in 1975. Best concert I ever was at. The place was rocking!

Saw Chuck in the Magnum in Irvine a few months later and he was absolute pish. Played for 25 minutes, nae encore and you walked off with no announcement.

Come back to Scotland Chuck and show us what you CAN do.
Make it 2 good out ones out of three.

I NEVER thought I'd get to see Chuck Berry, I saw the legend at the Jazz Club a couple of weeks ago, OMG this guy rocks!

I've loved rock and roll since I was a kid in the 1970's, and my dad used to play his rock and roll records. Obviously Mr Berry was always one of the top of my list. But NO MORE. Why? 'Cos he is now THE top of the list, by absolute MILES!

Mr Berry, you are a total legend, thank you so much. The show was BRILLIANT!

Now to the reason for my post. I'd love to take my son to see you. Will you be coming back to the UK in 2009? I don't care how far away, we will drive/fly to see you! My son is 19, and taught himself to play guitar, he's now in a band playing local gigs. One of the first guitar solo's he ever learned was Johnny B. Goode, and he's great at it! I think it'd floor the lad to see you live!

(wish I'd been brave enough to get up on the stage at the end, my boyfriend tried to get me but I wouldn't. Regret that BIG time!)

Hello everyone!!
I'd like to say that I'm really happy 'cause after 5 years of saving money (and here in Argentina that's not easy to do) I'll fly to New York to attend Chuck's concert in dec 31, 8 pm at the BB King Blues Cafe.
I bought the ticket with my credit card for 115 US$ (a big amount of money at least when translated to argentinean pesos) but I think it's worth it 'cause I can't keep on waiting for Chuck to come to Argentina!
Anyway, I want to share my happiness with all of you, and if any of you is attending the concert please pm me for I'm going alone.

Start spreading the news... :D

Javier from Buenos Aires

I know this is for the 2008 schedule, but since the 2009 thread is locked:

If/when Mr. Berry performs at Blueberry Hill in April, can it pleeeeeeeease be one of the first two Wednesdays of the month? I'm coming to the area all the way from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada for a rock n roll roadtrip and it would mean the world to me to see the man who invented rock n roll in the flesh.
