[quote][Here's a clip of Chuck at Summer Jamboree!! Wow what a crowd!! ForeverChuck68 or Stefano, can you translate what the drummer Piero de Salsi had to say at the end of the clip about playing with Chuck??
/quote]

http://www.viveresenigallia.it/index.php?page=articolo&articolo_id=256970

A great opportunity for a young drummer marche. A few days before this unique fact, the American band of Chuck Berry which features the son of Berry on guitar, asked the organization of the festival organization to replace their drummer was unavailable: "We trust you, sceglieteci drummer. A memorable moment thus for the drummer who played with Chuck Berry, the Marches Piero Di Massa, 36, Senigallia musician, member of the Honolulu Hula Boys who last year played at Festival, professor at the School of Music Musik. "In three days I have studied well the entire discography of Berry and watched all the videos to prepare for - said a delighted Massa - and who asks me how did I say that there is no answer. If I have to use adjectives, I resort to the usual exceptional, fantastic, unique, but not make it.

From lover of the genre, on stage with a similar legend is an incredible opportunity and I can say I lived a dream. " When the artistic director Angelo Di Liberto presented mass Chuck Berry saying "this here is his drummer," the father of rock and roll has satisfied smile and said "a young man who plays rock and roll. Very well, "suggesting that while there are young people who play, rock will never end. "This little comment has put me at ease - even the drummer says of Senigallia - and I was further reassured when I met the musicians during the sound check. Great professional, safe, and available with great humility that I have simply said to support playing in 2 and 4 stroke. We do not know what to play and will play as Chuck, told me the bass player, just look at us and we have fun. And so it was. I started service with equal humility and a legend I was playing with the band as if played together for 15 years, bouncing between riffs and unexpected versions of historical pieces. Including an exclusive treat for the festival which I am grateful for this opportunity, a blues instrumental that tells where all is the music of Berry. The real rock music sounds like, as has been played in Senigallia on that stage by Chuck Berry. Is he the father of rock and roll. " A legend from the stage, greeted the 2010 Summer Jamboree saying "You are a wonderful audience! I want to return next year. "

"There are not adjectives, but those discounts, to describe the experience I had on stage at the Forum de Salsa Annarita-tells-it seems to me still all so surreal. I have played with Chuck Berry, who changed the history of rock 'n' roll and whose songs I've ever played with friends. How they found me? It 'was all very quick and casual. Arrived in Senigallia, the manager of Berry told Angelo Di Liberto (one of the organizers of the festival) that their drummer was not able to come and just asked Angelo to give a name. Angelo asked me if I could play with Berry and I said yes but I thought it was a joke. "

But it was all true. "At that point I had three days to learn all the rhythms and changes of parts of Berry-De Salsa continues because the problem is that with age Chuck Berry made some changes to his songs but also never has a lineup of songs. Suffice it to say that in Senigallia has made its flagship Johnny Be Good. At that point I started to worry. Only two hours before the concert, as I tried to check the band sound with me are reassured. The other boys, including the son of Berry and guitarist, told me that we would have looked into the eyes for instance. And so it was. set foot on stage the feeling is gone and it was great fun " .

To be happy but it was also Mr. Berry. "Before going on stage gave me a five and told me he was happy to have a young drummer-Salsa De concludes after the concert and we greeted the band jokingly told me that we would meet again in St. Louis .

I used Google translate for this. Carmelo or Stefano will do a much better job.

Italian to English translation

In 5000 Chuck Berry concert at the Summer Jamboree in Senigallia
"Great audience, I am very happy to be here. I want to return next year!"

A huge event sold out, unique and memorable for more than 5000 people, the European exclusive Chuck Berry, Friday, Aug. 6 on the main stage at Summer Jamboree 2010, Senigallia Forum Annonario. Velvet sky serene beach Marche, the father of rock and roll has gone up on time on stage with his American band, as scheduled at 23 after a concert by the rockabilly queen Wanda Jackson and other exclusive Italian premiere, while outside the gates there were still many people looking for tickets or listening.

Bright red shirt and cap worn over 80 years of real fiber rock and roll, Chuck Berry set fire to the soul of famous fans including launching riffs School Dream No particular Place To Go, Little Queenie, Let It Rock, You Can Tell me, the blues Wee Wee Hours, and phrases like "I love you! You're a wonderful audience. " The Public Forum Annonario went into raptures.

Before the concert, just get in the dressing room, Chuck Berry wanted to greet the organizers of the Festival Angelo Di Libero, Andrea Celandine and Alessandro Piccinini saying "very happy to be at the Summer Jamboree, as well as the great architect Renzo Arbore, who also thanked for "The Pill" (song rewritten by Arbore in Italian for his film, the piece No particular place to go). Berry then exchanged a few jokes with the Queen of Rockabilly Wanda Jackson honored with a kiss and posing together.

A Chuck Berry relaxed, very comfortable and enthusiastic, that he performed an hour concert before the public XI Festival of music and cultures of the '40s and '50s. Who feared tantrums and misbehavior, it had to change his mind and was able to enjoy a moment in the history of rock and roll experience. Memorable for the audience, very numerous on this release. Memorable for professional dancers and beginners of different ages get on stage during the final stages of the concert, where Berry was fun to play, involving a girl in his famous goose-step. Memorable for the organizers that this time they saw confirmed their credibility to the success European exclusivity.

Among the audience of the big event as well as Renzo Arbore also many other familiar faces from the entertainment Dario Salvatori, Maurizio Ferrini and Greg, historical Arbore friends, but also the director Renzo Riccardo Di Blasi, besides the coach Alberto Zaccheroni with friends and family. Many famous faces of public officials and of the interests of the territory, including close to stage a proud Mayor of Senigallia Mangialardi Mauritius with his wife and come complete.

A great opportunity for a young drummer from Senigallia.
