Here's the set list -

Joe Edwards owner of Blueberry Hill introduces his friend Chuck Berry and
who starts the show instead but Johnny Rivers !!

Maybelline - Johnny Rivers with vocals Chuck comes out part way between the song & is
making that Gibson talk !!

Carol - Johnny B. Goode Medley - J. Rivers sings Carol - CB sings Johnny B. Goode

Memphis - song is played J. Rivers style, with him also singing.
At the end of the song a very special treat - Chuck gives us a rarely performed live verse from Little Marie !!! CBII lets Thomas Einarsson a family friend all the way from Sweden take over on Rhythm Guitar....

Wee Wee Hours - CB on vocals & Ingrid on harp....

Let It Rock !! - CB sings the first half - J. Rivers the second -Ingrid on harp
Bob Lohr steps aside on this one and lets Daryl Davis take over on keys !!
I beleive CBII back on Rhythm Guitar here......

Everyday I Have The Blues - CB starts the song off and again J. Rivers sings later

Reelin' & Rockin' - Johnny Rivers with the vocals, he sings the original version -
Thats right folks, he was - Dancing With A Woman That Was Twice His Size !!!

Roll Over Beethoven - J. Rivers with vocals and Chuck jumps in at the end
Bob Lohr takes back over on the Keyboard & Thomas Einarsson back on Rhythm Guitar......

No Money Down !!!!! - A very pleasant suprise with Johhny Rivers on vocals... Chuck is having the time of his life almost squirming out of his chair playing the 355 and chiming in hollering stuff between verses like - What else does it got?? And tell me about it!!

Little Queenie - J. Rivers with vocals - CBII back on Rhythm

Reelin' & Rockin' - Ingrid helps Dad with the vocals here....

House Lights!! - Do you want us to stop?? - Nooo!! Do you want us to stay?? - Yesss!!
CB hands the 355 over to Daryl Davis as he leaves tthe stage. Daryl proceeds to Rock On Out the rest of the song, it sounded like CB himself was still playing !!

CBII Introduces The Band

Special Birthday Show Guests -
Johnny Rivers Vocals & Lead & Rhythm Guitar

Daryl Davis Piano Keyboard & Lead Guitar

Thomas Einarsson Rhythm Guitar

Regular Band Members

Keith Robinson Drums

Bob Lohr Piano Keyboard

Ingrid Berry Clay Harmonica & Vocals

Jimmy Marsala The Bands Leader on Bass Guitar

Charles Berry Jr. aka - CBII Rhythm Guitar

Chuck Berry !! Vocals & Lead Guitar

I just want to say, this was The Funnest Chuck Berry show I have seen. Everyone on stage to everyone in the audience was having so much fun!! Chuck was having the time of his life. With Johnny Rivers doing most of the vocals Chuck had time to just let it rip on guitar. He was All Over the stage, prancing around like he was 25 not about to turn 85 years young. Bending his knees and making them quiver pointing down at them to make sure we seen them shaking but we were already locked in on them, he had us in an uproar!! He did one heck of a Scoot during Let It Rock -Teasing us at first like he was going to but didn't, and then there he goes scootin' across the stage, the crowd went nuts !! If we weren't in the Duck Room basement he might have just scooted right out the door and down Delmar Boulevard !! The Facial Expressions were out in full force as CB really "hammed" it up for us in the audience this evening!! During one song while sitting in his chair he reached over the keyboard and played it from the opposite side!! You should have seen the grin from ear to ear on Daryl Davis's face when he wasn't taking his turn on piano, as he watched his hero from the side of the stage, enjoying Chuck's performance just as much as anyone in the crowd. CB was literally all over Keith Robinson hanging on him pointing out a specific drum he wanted him to whack which Keith obliged as he leaned back out of the way not to get hit with the neck of CB's wine colored Gibson!! Chuck & Keith worked each other over on several different occassions during the show. Johnny Rivers was great on vocals and a very special rendition of No Money Down!! I almost couldn't stay in my chair when the band played that one..... I thanked Johnny the next day for singing No Money Down, and he told me it is something trying to follow Chuck. Daryl Davis has mentioned before how Chuck really challenges your musicianship with his spontaneity. And Chuck had it out in full force this night. As you all know, this is not rehearsed, its just Wing It !! I think that is what makes Chuck's Live Performances far and above better than anyone else's and well worth seeing time and time again...........I've mentioned this before, but tickets do go on sale today at 5 pm for next months show, Don't Miss It !!

And by the way - And the Cardinals Won !!!!

Doug :D :D

Doug, I have looked at this page for over one hour now.
You and your wife have done a fantastic job here.
As always, I feel like one in the audience.
You have described everything better than a professional journalist.
I can look at the pictures and read what you've written over and over again.
Tell your wife that Peter from Sweden is very very happy :-)
The videos are wonderful too.
I feel like I'm sitting behind you on this clip here:

I clapped my hands with you here in front of my computer screen after Chuck scoot and my wife thinks I have gone mad.
I hope there will be other clips on youtube soon.
You are the best!
Thanks again.

Very Happy Peter
