It was early in 1971. Chuck gave a concert at Worcester State College in Worcester, Massachusetts. He arrived about 15 minutes before the concert was scheduled to begin, received a cash amount previously agreed upon which he stuffed into a pocket, endured a bunch of inane questions asked by a bunch of us who were backstage, brought the house down with a great performance and disappeared into the night.
