I was 10 years old and heard Johnny B Good for the first time,(that was 1990)

After hearing that song I knew what I wanted to do

When listening to that song it was like that song was written about me

I had a hard time in school and Music was the only thing that ever meant any thing to me .

When I learned to play that song I added a line to it to make it more personal

In my view Chuck Berry is the best Guitarist of all time ,,,All the Best Guitarist have been influenced by him

The music industry owes him a debt they can never pay ,,With out Chuck Berry there would be no Rock N Roll ,

I Know that Chuck has really influenced me and his songs are ones that people can relate to

In my songwriting I keep it real to life in hopes that some one will hear one of my songs and be inspired to follow their dream of being a Rock Legend.

Thank you very much for your story. It was great to read. I wish you all the best for the future and of course I want to listen to your songs.

Nice story!

I'm the same age as you and I'd say I probly heard the song for the first time around the same time. If I were to guess, I'd say I first heard it through Marty McFly in the movie Back to the Future (always a favorite!).

The elders in here might get a chuckle outta that one!

Thank your for your reply

It was a surprise to see that people do view Chuck Berry as being one of the best and most influential Guitarist / performers

Most people in other forums Bash me for this option (mostly non musicians)

And when my Next CD is finished I will be sure to let you know

One of my songs has already been published and hopefully it will be released soon (its Called CANT LOSE THESE BLUES)
