Ridin' along in my calaboose
Still trying to get her belt a-loose
All the way home I held a grudge
For the safety belt that wouldn't budge
Crusin' and playin' the radio
With no particular place to go

:D :D :D :D :D

When i bought it i didn't understand the lyrics. Now I do.

:D

I was thrilled to learn from my older brother that this song was a hit when I was a little boy and my mother drove six of us kids back east to Missouri to visit the 7th. I was only 7 or 8 and not yet interested in music-- and anyway, I was in the far back seat of an old Chevrolet station wagon, light years from the little radio and facing backward all the way from California to a place called Warrenton. What makes me even happier now, is to know that Warrenton is just down the road a piece from Wentzville. The trip and the hit must have infected my subconcious to make me what I am today. A lunatic.
