Chuck Berry received the Golden Camera Lifetime Achievement Award in front of about 900 invited guests at Ullstein Halle in Berlin, Germany, today. HÖRZU, Germany's leading television program magazine award the GOLDEN CAMERA to honor exceptional achievements in the areas of television, film and entertainment.

After the ceremony Chuck Berry went on to mime to a full playback version of "Roll Over Beethoven". The orginally scheduled live performance did not take place due to some equipment missing. The Band included Rudolf Schenker on the guitar, Steffi Stephan on the bass, Curt Cress on the drums and Joja Wendt on the piano.

The ceremony was televised on German Television Channel ZDF on Friday, February 8th 2008 at 9:15 pm.
