It doesn't seem that long ago, but it's 40 years this year since Chuck's album Back Home was released. It marked his return to the Chess label and, although not regarded as his best album, it does have some great rocking tracks - Tulane, I'm A Rocker, Flyin' Home and Some People particularly standing out. In fact, all the tracks are good, and four decades on they still have that bit of Berry magic about them. I've always felt Back Home didn't get the praise it deserved at the time of its release - so now would seem an appropriate time to reassess it. Anyone got any thoughts on the subject?
